- BakeGood’s Vanilla Bean Butter Cake
- BakeGood’s American Buttercream Frosting
- Red Food Colouring
- Valentine’s Sprinkles
- Fleischmann’s® Baking Soda
- Fleischmann’s® Baking Powder
Steps
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F degrees.
- 2. Line one 8-inch square cake pan and one 8-inch round cake pan.
- 3. Prepare the cake batter as directed.
- 4. Evenly divide batter amongst the two prepared baking pans.
- 5. Bake until golden and the top bounces back to touch, about 30 minutes.
- 6. Let cool completely before removing from the pans.
- 7. Transfer the square cake to a large serving tray, creating a diamond shape.
- 8. Carefully slice the round cake in half and place each half with the square cake to create the heart.
- 9. Prepare buttercream frosting as directed and color with red or pink food colouring.
- 10. Transfer frosting to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
- 11. Pipe small rosettes on the cake in even sizes until the entire cake is covered with frosting.
- 12. Finish with a generous amount of sprinkles.
- 13. Slice and serve!
